Apparently Aaron Rodgers is a bad teammate

“A lot of times when you have a guy who creates that spotlight for himself and establishes that and takes a lot of that, it becomes so-and-so and the team,” Jennings tells Dan Wiederer of the Minneapolis Star Tribune. “It should always be the team. . . .

“For me, I’m such a team person, I’m going to defer to my teammates. I’m going to defer to the team, to the team, to the team. And I think when you reach a point where you’re not deferring any longer, it’s no longer really about the team.”

Jennings then reportedly “paused and looked around,” perhaps because he feared Rodgers was lurking in the corner with a sock full of pennies.

“Don’t get me wrong, ‘12’ is a great person,” Jennings said. ”But when you hear all positives, all positives, all positives all the time, it’s hard for you to sit down when one of your teammates says, ‘Man, come on, you’ve got to hold yourself accountable for this.’ It’s hard for someone to see that now because all they’ve heard is I’m doing it the right way, I’m perfect. In actuality, we all have flaws.”

The border war between the Packers and Vikings gets a little more intriguing than usual this year, with receiver Greg Jennings defecting from Green Bay to Minneapolis.

I wouldn't be shocked that he felt like he was the person running the Packers organization. I mean they did throw Brett Favre on the scrap heap for him a few years ago and he is constantly praised in the media for his talents at QB. Like Bill Parcells once said about Tony Romo after the Thanksgiving Day egg he laid when the Cowboys had been on a roll going into that game...."It's hard not to eat the cheese when everybody is feeding it to you."

If Jennings felt that way, he should have said something when he was still there. Otherwise, boo hoo.

He could probably use a change of scenery. Denver would be a good place for him to go and sort things out once Manning retires.

The way I see this is that whenever the Packers lose a game the blame is NEVER on Aaron. WRs dropping passes has been the main complaint the past few seasons (along with "the refs" or "the defense sucks"), so it makes sense that Jennings would be the one to make these statements given his position. This attitude shown by the fans probably allowed Aaron to be comfortable with shifting the blame onto his teammates.

Jennnings trying to cause animosity in the Packers locker room to make them lose focus. I see you Greg.

There have been plenty of games over the past 3 years the Packers main problem has been their defense and offensive line and even guys like Greg Jennings dropping balls in key moments but keep talking out your ass.

He has a point. Teams with great QBs seem to have a different mentality. Teams without great QBs don't rely in them as much.

Look at the Ravens, 49ers, Steelers, Giants, etc. These teams have that "me against the world" attitude and they know they all have to do their part equally to win. Nobody can "save" them.

What? None of the things that you said conflict with what I said.
