    HBO Hard Knocks: Cincinnati Bengals

I don't care how routine this show has gotten, it is still well done and gets me pumped up for football season. Each team also has at least a few great characters, and it's interesting to get an inside look at some of the coaches and what goes on in the meeting rooms.

The Bengals have plenty of good players and personalities.

Geno Atkins looks like an absolute beast, is he the best DTackle in football? Who is better?

AJ Green is freakishly long. He is like a mini Randy Moss.

The tight end from Notre Dame looks pretty good so far. Cool to get an inside look at him.

Vontaze Burfict and Rey Maualuga are going to be fun to watch, as always.

The little running back Giovanni Bernardo is a quick little fucker and it's hilarious to watch him get destroyed every time somebody touches him.

And Jerome Harrison is a complete headcase that looks like he is still in pretty decent shape. He may have lost a step off the edge but he can hit just as hard as he always has and take on blocks.

Seeing all the hard work these guys put in gets me excited for football. They have nothing to do with the rule changes or how the the NFL has turned into such a business, they're just out playing football like it's supposed to be played.

Watching the practice drills is almost more fun than watching NFL on Sundays.

JJ Watt is the best defensive player in the league. Geno Atkins and Von Miller are 2A and 2B.

I can't wait to see this show. I agree completely with your first sentence.

Well he plays DT in their nickel defense.

Gio Bernard is a stud. James Harrison is an asshole.

I'd say he's the best DT. Suh is close. Watt is a monster too but I think I consider him more of a DE.

Atkins is woefully underpaid too, the Bengals need to lock him up. Did see they're already talking extension with him, but hopefully Mike Brown doesn't try to lowball him like he does to so many other players.

                  Oki drill scene was awesome.

                  Lol Taylor Mays.

Conversation between Smith and Marvin was great. "Only so much you can do with 11 dudes."

By the way, interesting that Orson Charles is trying to work at fullback since he was basically a big WR during high school and much of college.

                          Just watched the 2nd episode.

The swimming pool scene was absolutely hysterical. Those guys literally had no idea how to swim at all. I was laughing my ass off during that scene. Geno Atkins just floundering around not going anywhere at all.

One guy didn't even attempt to use his hands the entire time he was under water. Didn't even think about it. Didn't even make it half way, either.

It's a comedy. The players love the cameras. It will be interesting to see if it has any affect on the Bengals this season. It's also obviously important to remember that HBO is filming and editing these episodes.

I would personally like to see more coach talk and less ebonics and singing. Even though that dude should make the team just because of his voice.

2nd episode is here (for now):

Burfict talking shit to Steven Jackson... that's a grown ass man, Jackson would drop that punk with one punch. Show some respect.

And Taylor Mays is one fruity dude. I was embarrassed for him just about every time he was on camera.

Margus Hunt is easily the best part of the show, this dude should just have his own show actually. I lol'd hard when one of the other D Linemen says to him "I want to visit Estonia now, just because I met you. Is it a place you can, like, visit?" and some random dude in the distance goes "They don't allow tourists."

Steven Jackson was cool a year or so ago, aint nothing but a hoe now. Vontaze would have wrecked that whole faggot ass team by himself.
