Hugh Douglas No Longer Employed By ESPN

Hugh Douglas is no longer an ESPN employee, according to an SI.com report. Douglas, a host of Numbers Never Lie, threatened to beat up his colleague Michael Smith at a NABJ event in Orlando, calling him an “Uncle Tom” and a “House N—–.” Douglas, a former New York Jet and Philadelphia Eagle, had been with the network since 2011.

The only thing Hugh Douglas is an expert on is taking a big contract from the Jaguars then proceeding to not do shit.

I don't know who Hugh Douglas is, but I like the cut of his jib.

As for Number Never Lie, I tried to watch it when it was new, saw that it was all about Michael Smith and the other people on the show cherry-picking stats, and then never watched it again. It's just crappy, middle-of-the-day filler TV on a station which only focuses on like 3 (barely sports-related) news stories at once.

That show is garbage though. And how do you not know who Hugh Douglas is?

I just googled him. He's just another carbon-copy, ex-pro "analyst" who had some okay seasons on teams I don't care about. I don't really care to learn more. He called Michael Smith an Uncle Tom, that's good enough for me.

His primary years were when I was in high school or younger, I didn't really watch much football back then. "Did the 49ers win? No? A white guy named Garcia? He sucks? Oh, okay." <--- the extent of my football watching as a teenager.

I have only seen like three minutes of that show and it was Merril Hoge assessing Johnny Manziel's character and work ethic based on pure conjecture. For something purports to be about numbers I found it very un-scientific and shockingly like every other shit talking head daytime show ESPN churns out. Not a huge surprise, but yeah.

That's what I said to him when he bashed Romo a few months ago on twitter. He got into a back and forth with me. I think he's a douche. So I tweeted "Glad to see ESPN getting rid of some dead weight."

Speaking of shitty ESPN shows what happened to that chick that was on Sportsnation? For some reason that bitchboy Max Kellerman is on tv.
