Kiffin gets shit canned in the middle of night, a few hours after the loss to Arizona St.

Waking up to this news, some great coffee and another airing of Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift is helping me get over the post-loss blues. Don't think anybody will sympathize with Lane over how this was handled.

Well, maybe Lane's dad. But everyone else?

        edit -
Holy shit, just read that Shelley Smith met Lane at the airport to get a comment. Everyone saw this coming but Lane, guy got off the plane like Pesci in GoodFellas.

Jack Del Rio will be the next coach. Issue is, does he finish the NFL season first and get a late jump on recruiting?

Butch Davis or Jack Del Rio should be the next USC coach.

Butch Davis is a leader of champions.

Also Del Rio wouldn't leave in the middle of the season for recruiting. He will just let the Super Run do his recruiting for him

whats funny is I have Arizona State on my fantasy roster league I play with friends. I used them because of the point spread but didn't expect that outcome LOL...odd though, not often do you get fired in the middle of a winning record-they were 3-2 after all- I understand of course the quality of wins and losses and conference was sub par but there have to be more reasons than just that..."i'm above .500".."so what ,youre still fired"

he should have been gone after last years bowl game. The fact is I think Haden knew he wouldn't do that good but figured no one else would take the job till some of the NCAA crap had passed, so ride it out for the sanction period. In essence, Kiffin was the ultimate interim coach.

Pesci in any Scorcese movie, really.

Shelley Smith was there all day. She was there to interview Lane Kiffin for Gameday early that morning.

These types of firings are not often well kept secrets. Nationally? Yeah. But the hardcore fans and administration know when the lights are going off.
