    Tebow, Jaguars

According to Terez Owens, Tim Tebow is in line to get a shot with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The NFL’s worst team may just be throwing a Hail Mary. According to our Jaguars leaker, the team is going to give Tim Tebow a shot to re capture his dream of playing Quarterback once again. Our source tells us the Jaguars realize Tebow can only help merchandise and ticket sales, and will bring a major surge of interest to the Jaguars. This is not a football move as much as it’s a financial move says our insider. The Jaguars have nothing to lose. Tebowmania in Jacksonville sounds like a great fit.-TO

cover32 spoke with Owens by phone on Thursday afternoon and he says he trusts his source and believes the information to be accurate. Owens says the move might not happen until early next week, which, would make Tim Tebow’s first game with the Jaguars against the Broncos, in Denver.

    More as we get it.

The two best fits for Tebow post-Denver were always New England and Jacksonville. For entirely different reasons.

So if this report is true, because it didn't work out in New England, this is truly the last shot for him. Nobody else is going to want him as a backup because of the circus atmosphere he brings to the table, even though he's more useful than probably 75% of backups and 99% of third stringers.

Jacksonville is on their way to being historically bad, so no matter what you think of Tebow, it truly can not get any worse, so there is no reason not to give it a shot. He won't be taking snaps from anybody who has any sort of future on the roster, so it's a no brainer. He'll give a dead team some juice, and a reason for fans to watch.

I wish the Rams would sign him. They can't score (or even get a tough first down) on the ground.

Its the ONLY move for Tebow...but he's a dummy...he should have chosen to be traded to Jacksonville last off-season. Instead, he chose the Jets and then chose the Patriots...two places that had no place for him as a QB.

Gabbert is shell shocked. Henne is no better than league bottom 5 as a starter (although, I'd contend he's a decent backup). Tebow should come in and play...unfortunately, no time to learn the playbook means I don't expect much.

Yeah who knows who Terez Owens is but this rumor has no truth to it. Tebow will never be a Jacksonville Jaguar.

I don't know what to laugh at more, this rumor or the fact someone took Perez Hilton and made Terez Owens.

Actually, nevermind. Terez Owens in a landslide.

They could reanimate the best football players from the grave and I still wouldn't give a shit.

Only the Browns and Detroit have a worse stink of... defeat... in my eyes and that's because they've been around longer.

except the Jags have a conference championship loss in somewhat recent history compared to the other 2

Just make this happen so we can see for ourselves if it will work or not.

I love that some are still clinging to the idea that New England would be a GREAT FIT for him. Kind of like the idea that Tebow is a GREAT FIT for the Jaguars.

Maybe the guy is just a bum and deserves no further chances? I'm with Obst, skeptical this has any validity.

Id pay $5 to see the Jags go 4-0 with Tebow and ESPN blows up into millions of bits.
