I am not saying Flynn is any team's answer, but I don't get the quick reaction. The coach threw him under the bus publicly faster than any player in history, and he only threw one INT. I am not for a second saying that Flynn is a misunderstood would-be franchise QB, but I just find his season with the Raiders incredibly baffling. Flynn alone did not lose to the Redskins. As a Bills/Eagles fan, I had to watch Jeff Tuel play like he was me last week ... and he didn't get cut.

Well he wasn't cut because they had nobody else on the roster.

Look Aso, don't get Dave wrong, you're one of his "good kids." Dave is just trying to have a conversation here, don't jump on him, you're better then this. Unlike most posters here who couldn't spell cat if you spotted them the c and the t, Dave knows his stuff. If he wants to post in this thread, let him, not like he has anything else to do, he certainly isn't having sex, lets be honest he isn't getting any from either sex. Plus dave works hard, he's only had three sick days his entire life.

Again, I want to make this clear - I am not saying Matt Flynn is misunderstood or a starting QB in the NFL. Clearly, he's not. Hell, his own coach in Green Bay (Joe Philbin) wouldn't give him a contract in Miami. BUT ... Oakland invested picks and money in this guy, and as bad games go, I'll take Flynn's over many other QBs. I just don't get Oakland's thinking here. Flynn already proved he was an ok backup in Green Bay, the money is paid, just keep him. If nothing else, you don't literally drop the guy into a tank of pirhannas the way Dennis Allen did after that game. I just don't get it.

Can't feel bad for Flynn, as he's pulling in some good cash for barely playing. He can find somewhere, either in GB as a backup, or the Bucs who could give him a couple starts. I think he got the raw end of the deal here, as it was clear Allen never wanted him from the beginning. Given how Pryor has played, who could blame him?

Flynn did not get the raw end of the deal in Oakland. Allen wanted Flynn to be the guy even before Flynn even practiced with the team he said Flynn was the starter. Allen never wanted Pryor to start he wanted the typical drop back QB. I believe Allen hated Pryor thats why last year he put Leinart in before he put in Pryor. Flynn just sucks he showed it in pre season and against the redskins.

It was more than just one game. He played horrible in pre season he never met the expectations given to him here with the raiders. He was practically given the job here and still couldn't hold onto it. Not to mention Dennis Allen really like McGloin as a back up. Also if we cut Flynn now we take a cap hit but have more money to spend next year which I think ultimately came to the decision of not needing a high paid third string QB.
