I understand wanting to be cool, look fierce or kind of be like the aggressor. But why does everyone need black for even just that one time? Over 3 years it hasn't just been a few teams now. Its at least a 3rd of the FBS AND I'M probably missing many in my search but I thought it would be interesting to actually see a majority together ( along with a few that don't really belong-actual team colors or whatever) But here it is no matter how lame or dumb you think I am. Its the incredibly annoying "Black uniform thread" with cheesy theme music of your choosing

BFBS.

Not a football-exclusive problem. Uni geeks have been complaining about this for years.

The Tennessee blacks were at least on Halloween night as I recall, so that was appropriate.

The Stanford...All Black with the Red "S" was one of the sexiest uniforms I've seen in a while.

But other than that I can't stand most black unis. I liked it when Kentucky rolled out the Blacks and that was about it.


What annoys me about the Black unis are when teams that have no black in their color scheme rocking it.

Most of the pictures you posted above have black in their scheme.

That is why it's called "BFBS" (Black for Black's Sake) ...

Feels like I'm reading a uni thread from 2007. You guys should be New York Times trend piece writers. Also, Wake Forest has always used black as their primary uniform color. They do not belong in this thread.

IIRC, this was the first time in school history that Stanford did not wear white helmets (Nike Pro Combat in game versus Notre Dame in 2011):



And this was the first time they wore black uniforms (2010 versus Wake Forest - I was at that game):
