Not to hijack this thread but im really disinterested in football in general this year, or at least my teams. Could be my NFL team is 0-8 and my college team is 3-5....oh well.

the Rams have sucked for years. I am not going to stop like the sport as a whole. I like college and pro and the internet makes the sports even more interesting. My friends bond through sports etc

I bet more people in Baltimore cared about that Ravens opener than a meaningless Orioles-White Sox contest.

Nice attempt to compare that game to World Series Game 5 though.

People actually tuned away once the football highlight show was over and the live baseball began.

I thought that Rams fans could take a lot of positives after coming so close to upsetting the Seahawks.

                  Selection bias FTL

Broncos/Colts did 21.5 million last Sunday night. Baseball's premier event can't draw a quarter of that audience.

If you want to have some real fun let's wait for the playoffs and start comparing the MLB and NFL numbers.

You and Keith Law can hold each other and whisper that baseball is on the way back in each other's ears for as long as you want, but for the foreseeable future the NFL is king.

The Broncos/Colts game had zero competition, no? The WS game drew 16 million going against the NFL Sunday night, that's a bit more then 25%. Good math Glen. But please site NFL playoff numbers which have zero competition.

Kind of funny how the blind NFL homers here believe the NFL beat the WS, even though the numbers are out and show a clearly one sided victory for baseball.

Good to see this thread going places. Mouthbreathers defending the shield at any opportunity, morons who do not realize it's possible to enjoy more than one sport at a time, and in some cases both.

The most recent TNF rating was horrendous and the numbers have generally been low, to the point that the league is starting to worry.

But keep getting those jokes off bruh.
