Multiple Packers were expecting 2nd overtime

Nothing new, but for both players and coaches, that's pretty embarrassing to be made public.

I don't see how you can feel bad about a tie. Lucky to get it with all the injuries.

Everybody has injuries at this point though. The Packers could have won this game if they had started Flynn. It was very winnable and had the team in relatively good shape for the division thanks to all of the other losses this week. Now the Lions game is a must win.

Players still don't know the OT rules?

Flynn is still undefeated in regulation.

IMO, there should be no ties. Should continue to play until one team scores. It seems like it almost turns out to be like a loss for both teams in their end of year results for playoff standings.

This ain't footy where you're playing in an overall combined table of 30+ games with points accrued over a season.

one game of madden and I learned the rule...there should be no ties for 16 game seasons but for that the need to bring back old sudden death so less injuries with fatigue

Heard Mike Ditka on Mike & Mike this morning say he was surprised when the game ended. He thought they were supposed to keep going. smh.

It turns out to be closer to a win than a loss because at the end of the year if you have the same amount of wins they'll be ahead because they have 1 less loss. It's how the '08 Eagles made the playoffs. Everyone on the Eagles post game show was mad and yelling and how tying the Bengals was just as bad as a loss and they'd rather have loss than tied etc. If they lost instead of tied they wouldn't have made the playoffs.

The Lions game isn't necessarily a must win. But it is a very important game. What I mean by must win, is that tie breaking games like division opponents and conference opponents don't have the same meaning. This tie basically made all tie breakers moot. The only way GB gets to the playoffs is by better record. Can't rely on tie breakers anymore. Right now, each game is just as important as the rest.

He's still winless in overtime, then.

The second half rally coincided with the viking secondary having some third string guys in there due to injuries. It showed with those defensive penalties. Rhodes was playing one of his best games before he left with a concussion in the 2nd half.

I don't like either team, just an observation from watching the game. I think the announcers may have even pointed that out as well. Tolzien is bad though.
