While true, hitting on a Russell Wilson (or even Nick Foles who came in Round 3 as well) is rare. For every Russell Wilson and Nick Foles out there, there are also Colt McCoy's.. Stephen McGee's and the like.

But yes, the Bears need to draft someone and soon. The 2014 crop has a lot of guys that COULD be very good quarterbacks. A guy like Derek Carr would be a great fit in the Trestman offense IMO.

Nevermind Jay, Trestman himself shouldnt even be here next year. Would love to have him on as a QB coach, but his decision making has been god awful week after week. Team has some good pieces in place in Marshall, Jeffrey, Bennett and Forte, Josh can be a stop gap between Jay and a good young QB.

Trestman is the QB guru, you don't need to pay Cutler. You'll get production out of a draftee.
