The only positive is that he is still kind of young for a QB...only 30. IMO he hasn't earned that kind of money. This is basically a Joe Flacco contract. At least Flacco brought home a Trophy before signing.

In this case, it definitely would have been better to keep McCown and draft a QB. Bears GM just put his and Trestman's job all on Cutler with that large amount of guaranteed money.
