The Red Hot Chili Peppers are preparing to rock out onstage with Bruno Mars during the Super Bowl halftime show in February, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The "Californication" hitmakers are already scheduled to perform at a pre-Super Bowl event in Brooklyn, New York on February 1, but Mars has reportedly invited them to appear with him at the MetLife Stadium
in New Jersey on February 2, when he entertains the crowds at the American football championship game.
Representatives for the R&B star and the National Football League have declined to comment on the reports, but Mars is expected to make the big announcement on Saturday, during the Fox network broadcast of the New Orleans Saints play-off game against the Seattle Seahawks
