I certainly agree. This is a huge draft coming up with big holes at WR, Slot, HB, and QB. Hoyer is serviceable for the short term, HB Edwin Baker would make a great 3rd down back but not a 15 touches a game guy. Gordon is a stud but a solid number 2 (Sammy Watkins anyone?!?) and a healthy Benjamin in the slot would be helpful. Bringing in a complete overhaul on both sides of the ball would be stupid.

Hand the job to Ray Horton and at least keep the defense intact.

They've already told Horton he could interview for other coaching positions out there, sadly.

With two coaches who have withdrawn from consideration, including Todd Bowles who has never been a head coach, this is just turning out to be awful for the Browns franchise. You guys deserve a whole lot better, and I thought that a new owner who came from a great franchise and a great personnel guy in Joe Banner would take you there. That clearly isn't the case.

I think the worst part is listening to Cleveland radio and ol Jimmy talking about this is going the way they planned... smh. Should have just kept Chud and atleast we would have a year of continuity.

i agree. firing chud is a disaster. you would have thought that by firing him the night after the last game they would have had someone in mind. now, we are the final team looking for a HC. we look like idiots like usual

So did the Redskins, but at least I can say that we were pulling an Al Davis by doing that. Not really an excuse for the Browns to use.

Then again, the last special teams coordinator to make the jump to head coach was John Harbaugh, and we all know that's worked out well. Who knows?

Would definitely be a good move for Horton, but I wonder where that leaves Gregg Williams. Couple available openings elsewhere I am sure, but I'd keep him on if I'm Whisenhunt.

I put a lot of that on the offense and Chud. The defense got worn out due to the offense inability to sustain drives. Just my take tho.
