I hope its not true actually. I found him entertaining on the NFL network.

Four years ago, Darren Sharper was approaching the highest of the highs, chasing his first Super Bowl victory. He’s now dealing with the lowest of the lows.

TMZ has reported, and PFT has confirmed, that Sharper faces criminal charges in California for suspicion of rape.

Per TMZ, Sharper is accused of two sexual assaults, one in October 2013 and another in January 2014. He was released on $200,000 bail.

Sharper has been working as an analyst for NFL Network. The league-owned broadcast operation has not responded to an email seeking comment.

Sharper played for the Packers, Vikings, and Saints during his 14-year NFL career.

honestly....I do remember watching maybe 3 weeks ago or so and they pan back the camera on one of those analyst shows and you see 3 or 4 guys and the busty blond female reporter to the left on camera and I distinctly saw Sharper kind of looking down at her breasts...just that typical guy eye scan that all guys know..seems to mean more now possibly

NEW ORLEANS -- The New Orleans Police Department released a report Friday detailing the rape allegation against former NFL safety Darren Sharper.


Former NFL safety Darren Sharper was arrested in Los Angeles last week on suspicion of rape.

Sharper, 38, has not been arrested or charged for the alleged crime, and the case remains under investigation.

According to the NOPD report, an unnamed woman alleged that Sharper raped her on the morning of Sept. 23, after they met at a bar and he took her to his apartment in the Central Business District. According to the report, which was made on the morning of Sept. 24, the accuser stated that she consumed a large amount of alcohol at a couple of bars. She said she met Sharper at one of the bars, then he later took her to his apartment and sexually assaulted her. She said she did not consent to any sexual encounter.

An attorney for Sharper said Friday that there is no evidence to support the allegation.

Nandi Campbell said that her investigation shows the woman in the complaint followed Sharper willingly throughout the evening. And, Campbell stressed that the ex-Saints safety has not been charged in the New Orleans complaint.

Campbell noted that the complaint said the woman had said she consumed a large amount of alcohol, and the attorney said that her own investigation turned up witnesses who saw the woman that evening.

"There were numerous witnesses who observed the complainant on her own and also observed her after encountering Sharper," Campbell said in a statement. "Certain witnesses observed Sharper mingling with various patrons and observed the complainant follow him willingly throughout the evening."

Last week, Sharper was arrested, booked and released on $200,000 bail in Los Angeles. The LAPD said it is investigating Sharper in connection with two sexual assaults that occurred in the West Los Angeles area, one in October and one this month.

Sharper was a five-time Pro Bowler who spent his career with the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints before retiring after the 2010 season. He works as an analyst for NFL Network, though he has been suspended without pay.
