For the first time since leaving the Miami Dolphins in October, Jonathan Martin spoke publicly to Tony Dungy in an interview for NBC Sports.
A portion of the talk was aired Tuesday, with the rest scheduled to be shown Wednesday night. Martin, it appears, spoke directly about the situation concerning him and Richie Incognito.
"I'm a grown man. I've been in locker rooms, there's vulgar language in locker rooms," Martin said. "One instance doesn't bother me. It's the persistence of it.
"I wish I would have had more tools to solve my situation. I felt trapped -- like I didn't have a way to make it right. It came down to a point where I thought it was best to just remove myself from the situation."
The interview is slated to be shown in full Wednesday night on NBC Sports' Pro Football Talk.
