CJ always received too much hate after signing his big deal.
Did he lose a step? Yeah, definitely. But his decline was moreso because of the vanilla offensive schemes and the lack of stability up front. CJ did a lot of great things from 2008-2010, but he also had one of the best offensive lines to help him reach the second level. The line has never been the same since Kevin Mawae retired.
Hope he goes to a team and a coach who is creative on offense. No doubt in my mind he can still play, just has to find the right fit.

I hate the idea of guaranteed contracts in any sport as far as the player goes, but I agree with having cap repercussions if you decide to release a player, regardless of guaranteed money or not.Comment
