Mars is 28 and got the Chili Peppers on stage by request..thats cool in my book. Heck now we need to find someone to get Iggy Pop up there...the dude gets it..he can laugh at himself and is one of the guys..don't care for his music but wouldn't mind knowing him.
Was this the worst performance ever in a superbowl?

The SB is watched by more Americans than anything else so of course they are going for the most popular and "safe" act possible. Bruno was a solid choice and gave a good show. Chili Peppers added a little oomph for us older folks. No problem with them only doing 1 song, they were guests and did their biggest hit.Comment

I don't really care for Bruno Mars music but he can sing and the performance was top notch. The women at our party were squealing like little school girls when he did his James Brown imitation so he had that going for him, which is nice.Comment

It's been over a decade no ?
The whole "safe" era is over they've been pulling normal acts for awhile.
I believe Rams is right RHCP was there merely on request. Bruno Mars has a fantastic voice , and is a great performer. Knocking him or Adele (not VSN but people do) is silly considering they have amazing voices and the best pure ones of newer pop stars. Thought it was a really good performance and Mars validated his selection.Best reason to have a license.

It wasn't anywhere near as bad as I thought it would be. And yeah.. the Black Eyed Peas a couple years ago was far, far worse.Originally posted by ram29jacksonI already said months ago that Seattle wasn't winning any SBComment

Didn't really pay that much attention to Bruno Mars, but last night's performance converted me. Dude's got talent.
Aside from Prince, Mars' halftime show was the only one I actually sat through. Usually I switch channels, because most of these 'artists' don't impress me at all. Didn't bother with Weaveonce last year.Comment
