The only thing I messed up on was that I didn't PM people when this thing was starting, so we got behind a bit from the start and it caused confusion. I also didn't get much feedback from people as to when we started, and it looks like people were not ready....both of those go hand in hand.

I was also up front with people about my time to do this. I don't have time on a computer at work to be on VSN, so I can't PM/VM people to pick. I made a simple draft list that should be easy to follow. All times were listed, all you had to do was show up at that time and make a pick. As Larry said, it's ridiculous for anyone to have gone over a day without anyone picking.

So if people want a reboot, that is fine, just let me know and I'll clear this place out. Good luck trying to get any more people interested. Two posters who helped Leftwich last year wanted nothing to do with drafting, much less helping to run things. We probably shouldn't have even run this based off the posters we had, and I even went to another site to pull a guy I've posted with for years whose done many of these.

I see people complaining but no one volunteering to help... typical.

It is beyond help at this point.

You need to start this shit over, get the right people on board (this site lacks a ton of super active guys, and the ones that are here, seemingly didn't want to do it), and have a guy at the top with the time to put in to make sure people are PM'd and the title is updated with an OTC.

I would volunteer to get one of these done, but I'm not free to really put in the work on one of these until after 3pm EST every day.

Honestly this would run better with just 8 posters. Each poster has a division. If others want to help provide input thats awesome but ultimately just 8 extremely active users make the selections

The less people you have, the better these things go. You would like to see SOME diversity, for sure, but honestly, most of the "diversity" comes from people that barely draft after the second-third round anyway...

I'd be all for a group of 8 or so doing this thing. I'd be down to do the AFC South.

I can help out Thomas at least during the day Rocky Mountain time. I got two breaks and lunch at work I can at least pop in and pm the person on the clock.

I'm just going to chime in from the outside looking in, I think I did this thing one year, not really a fan of doing it but it's good for the site and discussion. I like the 8 man idea, just make sure you find 8 people that truly follow college football as well as the NFL, so they understand the players they are picking and the team needs and direction they see them going in that years draft. Keep that 8 man group intact for a long time if everything works out well.

I also think that a site wide 1st round mock would be a cool idea to help generate activity and conversation on the players in the draft and the teams that are doing the picking. Basically start the thing 33 days prior to the draft, start a new thread each day for that draft spot, create a poll with the projected players in that spot and remove whoever was voted in the picks before(duh). Have the entire site vote on who they see going there, and close the poll after 24 hours. Other than just getting people's votes we would hopefully have people commenting on why they picked who they did, or why everyone shouldn't pick someone else etc.. When it's all done we can just throw all the names on a list then we can all see how the site did good or bad.

All of these things are for fun so I understand why the 8 man thing seems like it would kill some of that, and I won't disagree if this gets redone the same way with 32 different people doing the picking. Just throwing out some comments about what I was thinking.

I would be willing to help out in anyway I can. And also would be down to draft for the AFC East if no one else wanted to.
