But as for the topic of the post. I've said it once, and I'll say it again.

Hines Ward plays football the right way. I'm so sick of hearing about how Chad Johnson/T.O. make a good play for sprinting down the field and getting in the way of a defender, but not engaging and that springs their teammate free for a TD.

Had that happened in my highschool, our coaches would have rewound the video footage of it 4 or 5 times and REAMED US A NEW ONE for not engaging the guy and just "Ole blocking".

The reason pro ball players b*tch about it is because the last time they were looking out of their earhole like that was back in High School where 11 guys mattered on run plays, and not just the lineman.

Hines Ward is quickly becoming my favorite receiver. I've always like the style of T.O. and Ocho Cinco, because they are fun to watch despite their attitudes, but the blue collar players of the league do it right.

I don't understand what you said, they can't get a helmet on him? Hines ward has never broke away for a long gain against Baltimore. So obviously we've tackled him.

Funniest shit I seen was when he tried to do that to Jarrett Johnson,but he tried to do it while he was looking; Johnson just shrugged him off and pushed his little ass out of bounds. (the 15-yard penalty play) It didn't end well, but it proved that Hines Ward can't do it face to face.

I could careless if a receiver lights someone up, but when they do it when the player isn't looking I just don't like that. It causes injuries (I.E.: Keith Rivers), If Braylon Edwards or Houshmanzadeh did that too Polamalu. The steelers fans would begin to complain.

I disagree. It springed the Steelers forward 15 yards, did it not? The fact that he plays hard and the right way irks the other players who would much rather not play with their heads on a swivel. They would much rather just play patty caked with the guy across from him (okay, patty cake is overexaggerating), and collect their paycheck.

Just remember in highschool when you constantly had to have your head on a swivel, or else you'd be asking your teammates to readjust your helmet. That's how football is played. 11 guys hard, every play. Not just 9 guys on a run play, all 11. Hines Ward realizes that.

How you can not like Hines Ward as a player? He catches the ball in traffic, run blocks with the best of em, and will knock your ass out with a pancake if you dont keep your head on a swivel.....all with a smile on his face. Id love to have him on my team.
