Cleveland also in trade talks with the Buccaneers for Darrelle Revis (so are the Oakland Raiders). The sticking point will be if Revis is willing to take a significant pay cut.

Dansby is a bit old, if they cut Jackson I am a little surprised that they would sign Dansby as well. He will be a good starter for the next year or two, but I don't see him finishing that contract.

If they've signed Whitner, does that mean they're throwing in the towel on Byrd?

Yeah $3 mill cheaper than Jackson tho. Its a downgrade IMO. As far as Whitner, I love the guy but Ward is better and at a rumored 7mill per year I wouldn't do it.

Signed offer sheet by Andrew Hawkins will be matched by Bengals.

Donte Whitner is heavy on the recruiting trail trying to convince Revis to become a Brown and trying to sell Ted Ginn Jr. to the Browns.

is this really a big deal? once a team makes an offer doesnt everyone know they are interested? its not like knowing who a team wants to sign influances who you want to sign. it might make you up your ante for the offer, but it ultimately comes down to the money

Yeah its absolutely not a big deal. Every team in the NFL is aware who every other team is after.
