I'm doubting the Manziel pick. He's a tremendous boom/bust talent. That being said, two things come into play. If he's motivated to prove all of these teams wrong, that's a plus for Cleveland. More importantly, Kyle Shanahan can make this work. I have a lot of confidence in Shanahan being able to put an offense around Manziel. The question will be whether or not Manziel can execute it.

To say the Browns had a good draft is not good enough. If you followed any of the draft info prior to the draft. The BRowns not only walked away with the #1 Qb in the draft but also the #1 CB in the draft. Also walked out of the 1st round with the Bills 1st round pick next year. A+ draft grade so far for the browns.

To add the browns have been linked to maybe getting the #1 RB as well in the draft. by far the best draft ever on paper we have ever had if that happens.

Suspending any player for marijuana use is ridiculous. Insane.

I'm spewing that smoking pot is as harmless as drinking. Pot being against federal law in 5 years or so will be seen as insane as the gays being against the law.

A one-year suspension for pot is indeed over the top, but at the same time.. these players have to realize this is a rule in the NFL. Call me crazy but if I were about to get a big contract worth millions of dollars, I think I'd oblige by not smoking weed.

Cannot agree with this any more than I do. Who cares if the rule is wrong or right. That isn't even relevant... it is a rule that is in place and if you are caught not following it then you pay the price. Selfish move

Being gay wasn't against the law, anal sex was against the law for everyone and so was oral sex of any kind for many states. The kicker is that having sex with farm animals wasn't if that tells you the lack of logic involved there.

I know what sodomy is. During the middle of the 20th century and especially during McCarthyism the majority of sodomy arrests were against gays and the law was hardly enforced against straights. What really matters is the application of the law instead of what the law itself is. Statistically white people smoke weed more than anyone but blacks and latinos make up the majority of the marijuana possession arrests.

I thought I was in the LR for a second. Never imagined I'd see a Cleveland Brown thread turn into this.
