    Antoine Bethea to Niners

With the 49ers losing safety Donte Whitner to the Browns -- who, in turn, are losing T.J. Ward -- San Francisco reportedly has agreed to terms with former Colts safety Antoine Bethea on a four-year, $26 million deal, according to the Sacramento Bee.

While Bethea reportedly is slightly cheaper than Whitner (four years, $28 million) for the 49ers, he's not coming off as good of a season. While Whitner was the sixth-rated safety by Pro Football Focus, Bethea was No. 53, struggling whenever he was in pass coverage (he was much better at stopping the run).

Bethea, who made the Pro Bowl in 2007 and 2009, has been with the Colts his entire eight-year career.

at the difference in ranking and still getting paid $26 million to Whitner's $28 million.

Bethea is not worth his contract IMO.

I liked him in Indy, but he isn't worth that. Good for him though.
