Titans agree to deal with McCluster

After a Pro Bowl season with the Chiefs in 2013, Dexter McCluster is leaving Kansas City. The electric punt returner signed a three-year deal, $12 million with the Tennessee Titans on Tuesday, CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora has reported.

McCluster's deal with the Titans includes $4.5 million in guaranteed money. Tennessee will be getting a former second-round pick who's coming off the best season of his four-year career. In 2013, McCluster set a Chiefs franchise-record with 686 punt return yards, that number also led the NFL -- by a lot. No other punt returner in the league had more than 600 yards in 2013.

The 686 punt return yards helped McCluster earn his the first Pro Bowl berth of his four-year career.

Besides returning punts, the 24-year-old also caught 53 passes for 511 yards and two touchdowns last season. All three of those numbers were career-highs for McCluster.

Very nice under-the-radar signing. Fixes the return game, and gives depth to receiver and someone who isn't a risk for injury either.

Should be used in the Woodhead role for Whisenhunt. I like the signing.
