I would imagine that Capers will use him in both to fully utilize his talents.

He'll play OLB in that base defense without question.

Not nearly as good as he used to be, don't think he'll have as big of an impact as you're suggesting but maybe playing in GB will rejuvenate him.

This is basically a one year deal. He's not an every down guy anymore, but he'll certainly add to the pass rush on the other side of Clay Matthews. Best part of this is that he hasn't missed a game in years and the Packers desperately need a guy that can stay on the field.

If he turns it up this year, it will look like a smart deal. If not, they can drop him after this season and move on. Not much at risk (it seems) with this deal.

Not seeing how this will work out. Dude is 35 years old and has always been a 4-3 DE and NOW he is supposed to stand up and be an OLB? Maybe he can be a situational guy in a certain package but I don't think it makes the defense much better.

It's low risk for the Packers, if he has anything left in the tank (I think he does) then the team got a bargain. I don't think he has 3 seasons left, probably just 1 but could go to 2 if he returns to form.

Getting Hayward and Worthy back are changes. Having Hayward and House healthy completely changes the secondary. Allows Hyde to move to safety. And if Hayward plays like he did as a rookie, and Williams can play like he did at the end of last season, the secondary will be rather strong. If Matthews and Perry can stay healthy, that makes our pass rush better. And the continued development of guys like Daniels and D Jones will make the line better.

GB doesn't really make moves in free agency, so for them to even sign a situational rusher is a big deal. I'm sure they will get creative in how they use Peppers, and he will get his sacks, but he's not playing every down and he's likely not finishing the three years on the deal.
