    Matt Schaub traded to Oakland

The Oakland Raiders have traded a sixth-round pick in the 2014 NFL draft to the Houston Texans in exchange for quarterback Matt Schaub, the Raiders announced Friday.

Makes sense considering the Texans just signed Ryan Fitzpatrick. I'm actually surprised a team gave up a draft pick for Schaub, especially given the year he had last year and his cap hit of $14.4 million. Actually, since the Raiders did that, that's not a surprise.

Remember when people thought Matt Schaub was a Top 10 QB? Good times.

I think the Browns wanted him as well.

The Browns make sense because of the Shanahan/Houston connection, and I think they will go see if Grossman wants to come over, if only to help their new QB understand the offense. I do remember hearing that, but I think Cleveland might have been in the waiting game to see if he would be released.

Houston radio is playing some of the callers on a sister CA station. Calling it one of the best moves for OAK the last 3-5yrs says alot of the current situation there in Raider Nation.

Hopefully this means we draft Sammy Watkins or go defense
