Adds excitement to their offense at least, I think it can work out okay but will get hurt like always.

I take Michael Vick's turnovers and production over Geno Smith's turnovers.

They should let Geno Smith continue to start, and I hope they avoid giving any time to Vick barring injury, even for gimmick packages. If the team went 8-8 despite Smith's troubles, let him keep starting to work through his problems.

It's amazing how shady some fans can be. I have Jets friends and they are thinking Vick will come in and be the Vick of 2010. In the meantime they could care less about Geno and actually think this is better for him. I get annoyed by casual fans who go off of name recognition and think they know what is going on.

Rex Ryan is gonna start whoever can win more games. He thought he was going to be fired after week 17 of last year. Jets need to make the playoffs this year and Geno Smith wasn't very good last year. If Geno continues to suck then forget about his potential. Geno Smith's potential will get Rex Ryan fired.

i dont see why signing vick is such a big deal. Geno should still be the starter and if he gets hurt you have a vet backup. Vick knows he is at the tail end and his role will be to leader for the young QB's he is backing up. this allows him to still get paid ala Mark Brunell until he is 40ish

Wouldn't Tebow be a white Michael Vick

If it's what they do, then it's fine. But they are in a big market that is going to lobby for Vick the minute Smith makes a bad play. If Vick is a backup, then they need to make sure Smith knows he is their guy regardless of media reports.

how exactly does a black, left handed QB in his 30s who cant run anymore add excitement to anything ? This doesn't help Rex one damn bit.
