30 players invited to NFL Draft Green Room

The 2014 NFL Draft continues to set records -- most underclassmen, most build-up time and now the most congested "Green Room."

The NFL announced a record 30 prospects have accepted invitations to attend the festivities at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. While the likes of South Carolina's Jadeveon Clowney, NFLDraftScout.com's top-rated prospect, figure to shake hands with commissioner Roger Goodell early on May 8, the large contingent certainly sets the stage for lengthy waits - including some return visitors for the second round the following night.

Texas A&M's Johnny Manziel tops a list of four quarterbacks who will be in attendance, along with Central Florida's Blake Bortles, Louisville's Teddy Bridgewater and Eastern Illinois' Jimmy Garoppolo. Fresno State's Derek Carr, the highest-rated senior, has opted to stay on the West Coast with family.

The biggest position group in the green room will be the wide receivers, with Clemson's Sammy Watkins leading a list of seven that also includes potential Top 10 pick Mike Evans from Texas A&M.

UCLA linebacker Anthony Barr is the highest-rated player by NDS (No. 12 overall) who will not be in NYC. Other likely first-round picks who will not be in the green room include Pittsburgh defensive tackle Aaron Donald (No. 13), Michigan State cornerback Darqueze Dennard (No. 14), Notre Dame offensive lineman Zack Martin (No. 16) and Auburn defensive end Dee Ford (No. 24).

For those who enjoy the drama of waiting to see which prospects decline a return to the green room on Friday, Garoppolo is currently the No. 77-rated prospect overall by NFLDraftScout.com and projected as a second- or third-round pick.

What's the latest you would expect someone to slide? I'm guessing someone gets into the fourth round

From what I have seen and heard Bridgewater could possibly slide down to the 5th QB taken. Some teams apparently like Carr and Garrapolo much more.

I feel the same way with our 26th. Reports are supposedly that 2 teams in dire need of a QB like Garoppalo and Carr better (browns, Vikes maybe?!?!)
