    Bucs looking to trade Glennon?

The Bucs' new regime has already proven that it's unafraid of dealing some of its starters.

Might current backup (and former starter) QB Mike Glennon, Tampa Bay's third round pick in 2013, be next on the block?

According to ESPN's Adam Caplan, speaking on WDAE radio earlier this week, that might be the case now that new head coach Lovie Smith is calling the shots instead of Greg Schiano.

“It's obvious to me and people around the league that [the Bucs] are going to try and move him,” Caplan said via The Tampa Tribune. “They have denied this but I think Mike Glennon is going to be as good as gone.”

The Bucs signed journeyman Josh McCown in March, and Smith has revealed that the team would consider drafting a QB with the seventh overall pick. Manziel, anyone? McCown was immediately named Smith's starter, leaving Glennon in an awkward position with a new staff.

Glennon started 13 games last year and proved himself more than a serviceable replacement for Josh Freeman. He threw for more than 2,500 yards and tossed 19 touchdowns to just nine interceptions.

Might a team in need of a decent QB part with a mid-round pick in next week's draft? Perhaps.

I guess the rumors of the Bucs being interested in Manziel are on the right track, it seems Smith wants his handpicked QB to be there behind McCown this year.

Not sure there is much value. Regardless of his draft status (3rd round pick), I don't see the Bucs getting much in return on a trade.

God help whatever GM gives up something (anything) to acquire this JAG.

He'd instantly be the best QB in Oakland or Minnesota.

          Blaine Gabbert netted a pick.

          Surely Glennon could.

If Glennon is a bum then Gabbert is a toothless crack whore.

The Glennon haters on VSN will never quit. The guy is certainly good enough to be a very solid #2, at the very least.

It took hard work and determination to get Mike Glennon the starting job at N.C. State. But it also took a neck the likes of which Jules Verne could never have imagined.

Good thing NC State ran off a Super Bowl champion to allow this kid to play.

Traded Glennon to the Cardinals in Madden for a 2nd round pick and in the year 2020 he is still their starting QB #funfact

Put him behind someone getting older, like a Carson Palmer, and that would be a great move. Glennon already has experience starting games, so being able to sit back and be a student for a year or two would be great for his development. And as we see every year, there are a few teams that trot out worse than Glennon behind their starter, and usually one team trots out one that's worse.
