And yes, the cake shit went too far. That would be mocked if it was a hetero couple 100%. Relax fruitcake, you got picked in Round 7 by a team with the deepest collection of DE's in the league. How about we make the team before we smash cake in each others faces?
...and the world thinks it wasn't planned by the NFL ?

After being drafted by the St. Louis Rams, Michael Sam celebrated by kissing his boyfriend. This is historic because it’s the first time anyone has celebrated being drafted by the St. Louis Rams. - Conan O'brien

So ... his college performance warranted him being drafted.

I really could give a rats behind about some St. Rams 7th rounder. But I hope this kid makes the team just to shut rams up.

He was the DPOY in the best college football league in the world ... not like we're talking about a charity case here. He deserved to be drafted, really unfair to suggest it was not merited. But one should not engage rams in a srs discussion to begin with. That was my first mistake.

If he get cut by the Rams, he'll find another home. Would be a great situation for him as a younger player to be in St. Louis with that defensive line and pick up some tidbits.

I don't know how good he is. Didn't he get 9 of his sacks against weak teams, do poorly at the combine or pro day and not play well at the senior bowl? I thought his stock was much higher and then dropped pretty quickly. Not saying he didn't deserve to be drafted, but I wouldn't have been shocked if he went undrafted. I won't be shocked if he doesn't make the Rams team and finds himself on their, or someone else's practice squad.

Not like he was Defensive Player of the Year in the SEC or anything

Correct. This combined with his "tweener" size/speed combo caused him to drop pretty rapidly. Still a draftable player here, not like when a high school team let's an autistic kid shoot 3's in a blowout.

Not saying he wasn't draft-able. Just saying I'm not surprised he went 7th and wouldn't have been surprised if he hadn't been drafted. And you are right, he's small for a DE and a little slow for a OLB. That is another reason he dropped. Still rooting for him just to shut rams up.

yeah, think about it. All those college accolades and he was still only drafted in the last round by a team with 11 picks.

by a team with one too many DE's.

it is entirely possible that the whole thing was planned.
