Oh, I know... but I wouldn't call a crap team one that just barely missed the playoffs. Were they good by any means? Absolutely not but your good/bad threshold holds no weight in the NFL because it's a league of average and parity. There's very few "elite" players or teams.

I am a Bears Fan that thought that last years team was anything but good. In my world you are either good or you are crap. There is no degrees. They were not good and for Orton to squeeze out a 7-9 record with a team lacking talent everywhere, I thought showed a lot for him.

As far your response, just because you use a lot of words, doesn't mean anything. Nothing you said proved that they weren't a crap team. As a matter of fact you proved it. You bring up guys that barely classify as good!

You said they were a good team because they had a great RB, good TE's and a very good o-line.

Me pointing out the fictiion of your assessment is idiotic and illogical...You're right.
Bears were 9-7 last year... just saying.

i didn't believe anything. I thought it was a mediocre to slightly above average team with a pretty decent offense thanks to a breakout year by a rookie running back. That's exactly what they were.

They would beat a good team (Indy, Philly, Minn) and then follow it up with losses to barely average teams.

It is so funny about guys getting upset over a word, like I insulted your Mother.

You and your buddy admit they were not good, but they were just not crap. Crap is not good and not good is crap.

              Get over it!

They had virtually no talent and Kyle Orton did a remarkable job getting to 9-7 with this team.

This whole thing is about Kyle Orton and some idiot wants to split hairs about the degree in which the Bears were not good.

              Cutler is better than Orton.
Orton did a great job while he was in Chicago and never received the credit he deserved.

              That is my stance.

Like that would matter to me? I don't care where your POV was coming from. Your defense for it was still idiotic.

It wasn't "over my head" it was a none issue. I think it's laughable you even brought it up. You being a fan or not doesn't make your point any more or less valid in my mind. The only thing that matters to me is your reasoning....which you showed none of.

Your grasp of the English language is "crap" then.

Actually I did prove they weren't a "crap" team. I proved they were perhaps right around an average team. A crap team is the Browns, Rams, etc. Not a 9-7 team that was a game out of a playoff berth.

Forte did have a great season. I don't think it's stretch to say that Olsen and Clark paired together is a "good" TE combo, and last years OL did play very well.. Far above expectations held for them before the season.

Basically, we saw a slightly above average team last year vault their way into the Super Bowl and almost win the damn thing. So you really can't say "they are either good or bad" because I certainly wouldn't consider the Cardinals of last year a really "good" team. They were decent enough to get into the playoffs in a bad division and made the most of their opportunity in the playoffs.

So, no the Bears weren't "good" last year, but they weren't crap. They, as FT said, went into the last game with the chance at the playoffs and in the NFL that's a definite accomplishment.
Thank you, excellent post. Finally someone with at least a 3rd grade education responds with something sensible.

Then it's an idiotic subjective argument. The Bears never lead me to believe they were anything more than they were because I knew all along they were an amazingly average football team. Just because they tricked your dumb ass into thinking they were something more than they were doesn't make them crap, it just makes you foolish.

I can go back a dissect everything you wrote too, it doesn't prove anything except you probably don't have a job with all that free time.

I'll just use your words, sorry I misspoke, Kyle Orton did a good job with a team that wasn't very good.

For you to spend all that time trying to prop up a team that you admit is not very good, just not on the crap level, shows who the fool is.

Funny story...go look at the VSN Suggestion area....

In real jobs you get what is called "vacation time". This year I have 3 weeks to use still. Today I am taking what us in the working world call "a vacation day".

Again, comparing a 2 second google followed by a another 2 seconds to copy and paste, to the going back and looking at several posts, shows the foolishness of every response you make.

Mr. 2nd grader go ahead and post another wasted, ignorant, not funny post, so you can get the last word. I am finally bored with you.

It's a message board....that's the entire idea........You know..connected on topic discussion back and forth based on other people's postings. Sharing ideas...etc.....If you don't want people to go back and call you out on your retarded shit...don't post it to begin with.

I know, they can be a very embarrassing group of people. It's one of the reasons I really don't consider myself a Bears fan.

                          Too many retarded stereotypes.
