Scenario : Goodell is canned , league decides to make you Commish.

Goodell has "resigned" due to the backlash form the Rice incident. NFL conducts a "become a commish" Fan raffle in which you win.
You get to be NFL commissioner for one year. In that time your performance will be evaluated and you can potentially take the job permanently.
You are allowed 3 proposals and/or rule changes.
Two of them are valid for the this season and next. The other is a permanent one. What will they be ?

    Perma rule -
    Proposed change 1-
    Proposed change 2-

Perma- Conduct Policy, any violation of understood law beyond Misdemeanor Offense which the person is found guilty allows the team to void contract if they so choose. Voiding of contracts in this manner will demand the signing bonus be repaid 75% before the player can play another down of football.

Proposed Change 1: Drug policy changes- use the Olympic Standards on recreational drug use.

Proposed Change 2: 3 Strikes and you are out. Any combination of 3 instances of failing the performance enhancing policy, recreational drug policy, or personal conduct policy is an automatic ban from the NFL.

      Fascinating.
Personal conduct probably wouldn't even make my top 10. Im more concerned with shitty fields like Houstons than I am who smokes what or punches who.
I think Im a believer in states rights when it comes to personal conduct outside of NFL premises. Not that its a healthy one to have but I hate how caught up people get in drugs ,clubs , fights.

Permanent - Get rid of the conduct policy. Once more, it is not the job of business to police society, it is the job of society to police business. The reason why Chris Brown's record execs never sweated him beating Rhianna is because the industry never felt it was their job to punish their artists for what they do outside the studio. The NFL never should have taken on this very predictable headache.

Rule change (1) - Ending pass interference calls for badly under thrown balls. I'm tired of seeing a DB have terrific coverage on a WR, only to get whistled when the receiver tries to go back for a piss poor pass by the QB. That's making good defense an advantage to the offense.

Rule Change (2) - Begin a minor league. The NCAA is long passed its moral grounds in controlling the careers of future NFL players. Time to stop marrying education w/the development of football players.

Rule Change 1: Drug Policy Change = if its legal, it legal - if its medicinal, its medicinal.
let these grown ass men get high if they want. that aint drug dealers, they are recreational users. who cares anymore.

Increase the width of the fields just for shits and giggles. Also, ease up on the ridiculous regulations placed on defenses. Not saying they should be able to smash QBs, but this is football they're playing.

The Chris Brown comparison is silly because he still sells a shitload of records, so his bosses were not about to spite themselves.

#1 Move the Denver Broncos to LA so I can get season tickets.

#2 Get rid of the coin toss and replace it with that scramble for the ball thing the XFL had back in the day.

#3 Take the facemasks off the helmets. Let's see how quickly these guys remember what a form tackle looks like when they're risking their teeth/nose every time they lead with their head.

LOL, wonder what the over/under would be on how many scrambles before serious injury.....1? All it took in the XFL.

Maybe not for the opening coin toss... But any OT coin toss would be some must see TV.

Pffft that was the best part of XFL. Im all for it. Each team would probably use there ST gunner anyway. It was always a fabulous idea. Injuries dont stop preseason , otas, and mini camps so making a part of a game watchable for at least 3 people is great.
