    Stuart Scott RIP

Stuart Scott dies at age 49 after a long bout with cancer. Hard worker and a great inspiration to all of us. May he rest in peace.

He was one of the best in a field crowded with top notch talent. I admired the way he faced cancer with determination and dignity. May he rest in peace.

I loved watching him narrate sportscenter when I was younger. He will always be a legend imo, RIP.

He worked through it for seven, close to eight years. That's determination right there. Scott was huge to ESPN getting to where it is right now, and you can argue whether or not that's a good thing, but you can't deny he was a positive influence on the network and sports in general.

I remember how people used to flood the internet complaining bout Stu. They said he was overdoing being black. It was a reminder how some people only accept you if you're "like" them. They can't see that hidden racism in that opinion. "We accept you, only if you're not like you". I'm glad Scott stayed true to himself & I'm glad to see it is appreciated 20+ yrs after he made his national debut.

Awful news. He made sports so cool when I first started watching Sportcenter with my Grandfather as a young'n.

Rich Eisen pays tribute to Stuart Scott in his highlights of the Colts/Bengals. One word: CLASS.

True pioneer and genuine human being.

After Dan Patrick and Olbermann, Scott and Eisen were the 2nd best sportscenter duo of all time.

Scott really helped fans identify with athletes through his style. A breath of fresh air in a field filled with tight wads like joe Buck, rosenthal, athletes who can't read a teleprompter and females that lack personality.

                      He will be missed. RIP.

Was never a big Stuart Scott guy, but you have to respect what he went through and how he didn't let cancer stop him from living his life. RIP.
