Oh no doubt. Money ALWAYS has something to do with it, and in most cases is the number 1 factor. Doesn't mean there aren't exceptions to that rule, though.

Boldin obviously wants to get paid but he didn't make a big deal about it last season once the regular season started. He said what he had to say and let his voice be heard on the situation but once the season started he shut up about it and didn't say a single word till the end of the year.

He is underpaid and wants a long-term deal and he deserves it. You can say what you want about the guy but no one can question his heart and toughness. He is not one of those guys that is going to get paid and start slacking off.

Well I hope when we get rid of boldin we get a good return like a 1st and 2nd for him... It may be a little high but shit if your a team in need of a WR, your getting a proven pro bowl WR that is comming into his prime right now. You don't have to develop him, you dont have to wait on him... he right now is a top 7 or so WR...

If we do get a 1st and 2nd, hopefully we get a middle of the round 1st or higher so we can grab a LB from USC or maybe even package our 2 1sts and a 2nd for a top 3 pick maybe and grab curry...

My problem with the situation is that I heard about it most toward the end of the regular season and it seemed it was ALL about the money at the time. When I hear an athlete talk about how their own team doesn't respect them enough, I hear "they're not paying me enough." I've got no problem with him or any other player wanting to get paid & I hope he gets a boat load of money. I just know that regardless of how great a guy he is, how tough he is or anything else, the issue is money.

Boldin never said anything about it during the season, the media and commentators did, but Boldin never brought it up during the season.

Boldin made $2.5 million this past season, wil make $2.75 million this coming season and $3 million in 2010. That's a shit load of money in our eyes, but he is being underpaid for what he does when compared to the other guys at his position that he is better than. When compared to Fitzgerald's 4 year $40 million deal, Boldin is making pennies.

The fact of the matter is that he is not being paid enough. If there are guys out there doing the exact same job as you are but literally making millions of dollars more to do it, you are not going to sit there and be happy. You're going to pack your shit up and go somewhere that pays you that kind of money or you will request a raise.

I think it's funny how so many fans criticize these guys for wanting to get paid more when every single person in America would do the exact same thing that Boldin is doing if they were making pennies while others are making millions to do the exact same job.

I don't paid a dime to play football...

also you can't base how much you should making on the best WR in football, He deserves to get paid but he isn't worth as much as Fitzgerald is... at most 5-6m a yr... which im sure the cardinals have offered... I hate when players think so much more about themselves then the team, now I know... Get paid but shit after that put out how much you claim to be worth.

              1. You are a nobody. Nobody wants to watch you play football.

              2. Boldin hasn't said he wants to get paid as much as Fitz, has he? He just wants a long term deal that gives him the money that he is worth. There are WRs out there who aren't as good as him but are being paid more.

              3. You don't know what the Cardinals have offered him.

              4. Speak English please.

to put it into perspective... Justin Gage made $6,603,480 last year

Bernard Berrian made uber inflated 13M last year but that was because of a bonus year, his contract averages out to about 7 per year.

Andre Johnson made $11,175,000 last year

                  Fitz made $17,103,480 last year

so is it too much to ask for Boldin who is leaps and fucking bounds better than Justin Gage and Bernard Berrian to get 6,7 mill per year?
