He'll compete with Troy Smith for the second string. Ravens have good depth at quarterback.

Beck, the 40th selection overall and fourth quarterback taken in 2007, started in four of the five games he appeared in during his rookie season, completing 60-of-107 passes for 559 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions. He lost all four of his starts.
      Meh...sounds fair to me.

Still think Beck has some potential to develop somewhere.

Yea but someone said it earlier it the thread, he's almost 30. He's 27 turning 28 in august. I didn't know when he got drafted that he was like 25 turning 26. I think he could develop and be a good backup 'til the end of his career but not much more.

I don't think he picked the Ravens, I really think no other team had any interest in him.
