Bucs Fans, is Alex Smith more of a blocking TE or a receiving TE.

He is a receiving tight end. Never really lived up to his potential or his draft status (3rd round pick). However, I still think he has enough talent to produce. He's got great athletic ability and runs like a deer. Maybe the Pats can get more out of him than we could.

I'm happy with the deal b/c the team was going to cut him anyway. There just wasn't room for him in the passing game with K2 and Stevens on the roster and Gilmore is the muscle as the blocking tight end - so the move makes sense.

I think Brady will help elevate the game of Alex. He'll produce for New England.

It's a great deal for Smith, as he leaves a team that's sure to suck next year for a team in the hunt for another ring.

And he'll have the opportunity to kick our ass in London this upcoming season...ugh
