I'm not gonna lie, I would like to see Favre against the Packers. I think if it happened, it would either be a very good game by Favre, or a terrible game by Favre, no in between.

The best thing about Favre possibly coming back is that I have 50 yard line tickets to both Vikings vs. Packers games this year.

And then they go and draft two backup QBs since there was only one on the roster. And then right as Training Camp is about to start, he wants to come back and be given his roster spot back like nothing happened, and won't even agree to compete for the job.

I don't really subscribe to the fact that he was forced out. Maybe he wouldn't have retired in the first place if Ted Thompson signed Randy Moss and kept all of the over-the-hill, overpaid O-linemen that Favre wanted on the team, and hired Mooch as the coach like Favre wanted, but oh yeah, Favre isn't the GM and Thompson was a strong enough GM not to let Favre run the team.
I agree he wasnt forced out. Brett Favre is top 3 quarterbacks of all time there is no way in hell he competes for a job. I mean if he comes back a week before the season starts i would have given him the job back. It's not like he needs to learn the system or anything. And they were trying to protect aaron rodgers? I mean cmon. I would love to see him come back and play. With Cutler, Stafford, and Favre that would make the NFC North that much more exciting

Oh those crazy VIking fans. Don't know if I would really want him in the DOME. Brett was at his worst in DOMES. But you guys go ahead and wish for Brett to play over half the season in DOMES.

Watching Brett for 16 seasons, I remember how crappy he was in DOMES. He had a lot of great games everywhere else, you know, places that weren't DOMES. Brett even sucked it up in the Wannabe DOME in Dallas.

But you guys go ahead and wish for Brett to play over half the season in DOMES. You guys (Vikings) do play in a DOME don't ya?

            HAHAHAHAHA RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!!!

the vikes won 10 games with gus and tarvaris at QB last year, you don't think that couldn't match that record or even improve it by a couple wins with a QB who at the twilight of his career is still better than both of those guys?

Damn.....pretty easy to see that Favre is the GOAT with all of the hatred in this thread...if he sucked you guys wouldn't be so riled up :2thumbs:

A 3 page thread based off of one silly rumor from one reporter. Do you guys not see the irony in saying that the media talks about him non-stop? Pot....kettle....

                1) This is the first I've posted about him.

                2) I hope you get hit by a bus with spiked tires.

                  Dope,

Age can catch up to athletes very quickly. The last half of the season last year wasn't even average for an NFL QB. The Jets were in great position to win the division, and QB play helped take them out of it. It wasn't just QB play, the Jets D turned south as well, but QB play had a lot to do with it.

I don't think it would hurt the Vikings to take a look at Brett. But it's a bit of a gamble to sign him. If you have a QB spot that you don't mind losing, then I say go for it. How good do you think Booty can become? If you don't think he's ever going to be much, then their may not be much of a downside to losing a QB spot to take a chance on Brett.

I believe GB did the right thing going with Rodgers after watching Brett in those cold/bad weather games. Oh, he can still handle the snow, but cold is another story. So I think Brett, and GB would have been in trouble keeping Brett in GB when games can mean the most, at the end of the season. You guys might not have to worry about that as much, unless you have away games in cold weather cities in December.

oh i know age catches up to them quick, and i'm about the biggest favre hater you'll find....however i still think at his age he's a better qb than what we have on the roster. and yeah booty is going no where imo. he isn't the answer and if he was i doubt they trade for sage.

it was for sure the right thing to go with rodgers after you saw how favre got outperformed by eli in the nfc championship. but thats just it...go and look at the vikings schedule the last 8 games we only play 2 games in cold weather. Nov 1st at GB and Dec 28th in Chicago. The other two away games are in arizona and carolina. I think for a one year deal you couldn't have asked for a better final two months for an aging qb.

and i'm sitting here saying I WANT or NEED favre i could care less if got ran over by a bus right now. i'm just saying there is no reason to believe that the vikings who last year won 10 games due to a stellar defense and a superior running game couldn't match or improve by a couple games with a qb who is competent. thats all i'm getting at, that by adding favre we aren't getting worse, not with the pieces that are around him.

and honestly i think kuzzy is delusional if he thinks the bears are winning that division, imo its the vikings or packers winning it. the packers weren't as bad as their record showed last year and if the defense could have played a full 60 minutes instead of 55 it very well could have been the pack in the playoffs with both the bears and vikings watching from home.
