    Best Rivalry in College Football

Right now? I'd probably say OU-Texas.

I really don't give two shits about watching Ohio State and Michigan play at this point in time.

All time, though, they're obviously up there.

OSU and Mich is the greatest rivalry all time. Even though Mich has lost 4 or 5(?) they have been competitive and entertaining and that one game when Mih was #2 and OSU #1 was the greatest game ive watched along with the Texas-Texas Tech this year and the USC-Texas NC game

Almost everyone is obviously going to say their school's biggest rivalry.

Ohio State/Michigan is the best rivalry... bar none. (This is a homer thread anyway)

I'm in the middle of Big 10 country and will be attending a Big 10 school this fall, and I have to say with out a doubt, the biggest rivalry right now is Texas and Oklahoma.

OSU/Michigan or Army/Navy. Rivalries have to be at or near the end of the season to even be in consideration. RRS is a joke being held in like week 5 so that both teams don't have to deal with any of the problems of losing a game late.

Exactly, Henne and Hart's junior season when the final game decided who would play in the national championship. That game was nuts, Texas and Oklahoma squaring off 5 games into the season doesn't really mean all that much.

That game was "nuts" to you and all the other Ohio State/Michigan fans.

The rest of the country was just watching to find out which Big 10 team would end up in the NC game only to get smacked like always.

Umm... that would have been the 2nd BCS Championship game ever for the Big Ten, the previous one being a win by Ohio State. If you remember, OSU was heavy favorites going into that game. You can try to act all smart in hindsight and yes, OSU did get pummeled, but that game was HUGE. #1 vs. #2 in the final week of the season to determine who went to the BCS championship game and you're saying how no one cared.

                            GTFOH.

At the time tOSU was #1 in the nation and Michigan was #2, and the two were considered the clear top two teams in the nation. A month or two later that didn't prove to be correct but get outta here with that nonsense.

Since Tressel's hiring, Michigan has showed up virtually every year outside of 2008 and 2004.. its always been competitive. 2007 is sort of "Meh", it was competitive but Tressel shut down the offense once Beanie got us to a 14-0 lead, and we threw one pass in the second half.

2001 it went to the last series, 2002 went to the last play, 2003 Michigan pulled away for a win, 2004 Ohio State rose up as an underdog and crushed Michigan, 2005 Ohio State came back from down double digit points and won with 30 seconds to go, 2006 speaks for itself.

Beating Michigan will always be my favorite part of a football season regardless of whether they are 11-0 or 3-9. Besides, they still have 5 years to go to pay us back for the Cooper years.
