    Fantasy Football: Forte over AP?

    Article I wrote...

I recently saw the NFL fantasy football power rankings that NFL.com put out. I scrolled through the top ten, looking at the players that will most likely be taken in the first round of most drafts...

I wouldn't take him first, I think you still might be able to catch him in the second round depending on the other guys in your league. But still good article. He helped me last year and I hope to get him again next year.

Should probably take Orton over Rivers while you're at it too.

Forte has more total yards than AP, and More touchdowns. Also has less fumbles.

I'm too worried about the sophomore slump that runs rampant on second year players.

Nice read Zach, I would take Forte over AD too.

This is the news source for the Bears on twitter and he links to all of the bleacher report articles about the Bears on there and he linked yours. I saw this and was like....wait...I know who wrote this lol.

Everyone's been saying this about him since before he even came into the league because of his running style. Forte might be a safer pick in a league that values receptions but AP's upside is ridiculous. He reminds of Barry Sanders in that sense. He might not get a ton of catches but he's always a threat to go for an 80 yard td stroll. And a season of 2000+ rushing yards does not seem unreasonable.

I wouldn't pick Forte over AP.

Fact - Cutler will throw more TDs than Rosenfels/Jackson.

Fact - AP will have more carries, rushing yards, and rushing TDs than Forte.

Obviously, the X factor is receiving yards and touchdowns. If you are in a PPR league I could taking Forte 1st overall, but if not there's no way I'm taking the possibility of Forte racking up receiving yards like he did last year and getting a lot of TDs through the air over AP's guaranteed production.

LT #1 pick no matter what.

Ive subscribed to this idea for many years but I do think its time to rethink that. Hopefully I'm wrong though. I'm a big LT fan and I would love to see him get back to form.

As for the Forte over AD idea, personally I wouldn't but the points made in the article are good and valid.

I think this could be a comeback year for him if he can stay "healthy"

Id take MJD over both of em next year.

But even as a Bears fan.. id take Peterson. The Sophomore slump is too much of a scary reality. And Forte was wearing down as the season went on because of a heavy ass workload for a first year guy.
