Just because Cotto cut his eye and fought thru it doesnt mean he won the fight, of course it hindered him, but you have to judge it on the in ring action

and my eyes told me that Cottley did more damage, was more accurate, showed better defense and ring control, when Cotto had him up against the ropes a couple times he was conrolling the fight, but he didnt do it enough IMO to win the fight

and thats why i said Clottey lost the fight more than Cotto won it.... aside from when Cotto had Clottey against the ropes he did little.... Clottey was clearly more accurate and when he was aggressive controlled the fight... considering the crowd being extremely PRO-COTTO, Clottey had to realize he would have to be borderline dominant to get a decision win and should have been aggressive the entire fight, if he was aggressive the entire fight Clottey would have won......

still waitin to see if someone can say Cotto won 8 rounds in that fight?

yeah, tough fight for Clottley to win which kind of blows when reporters and the announcers bascially ask the question before the fight 'Can Clottley win a decision against Cotto in MSG?'

That should never be a question in a fight

Lampley asked Clottey the day before the fight if he could win a decision in MSG against Cotto..... what kind of dummass reporting is that? It shouldnt matter where you are boxing at the decision should be impartial.... i understand the crowd could sway a judge alittle bit, but it should be a understanding coming into the fight that someone is at a distinct advantage simply because of the location.....

honestly i am hoping this fight stays on the shelf.... Marquez is a weak counter punch who relies essentially on timing.... but timing PBF is like grabbing jello barehanded and expecting to keep it all in your hands..... that shit aint gonna work...... not to mention he got dropped PacMan 3 times, said he didnt adjust to the speed at first.... wtf he think is gonna happen against PBF?

yeah I agree I would rather see PBF fight Pacquiao, however I dont' think PBF wants to fight Pacquiao as a first fight after a long layoff

Well I was disagreeing and thought Cotto was more accurate, although I appreciate that the later rounds could have been scored either way. You've chosen to go with Clottey, fair enough.

I didn't say "he was cut so he wins"

I dont know how anyone can watch that fight and say Cotto was more accurate, you could maybe say Cotto landed more, but no way he was more accurate

Davie watch that fight again... and see how many punches Cotto throws that hit Clottey's forearms.... it is a very high number.....Clottey's defense was amazing for most of this fight.... despite Cotto throwing a bunch of punches, they seemed ineffective for the most part..... .

I think it is is pretty clear to me at least that the only time Cotto did any damage was when he counter punched, and the 6th round when Clottey laid up against the corner. Credit Cotto with a good work rate, but he did not land a lot that fight

That's how I've seen it on second viewing. 114-113 Cotto.
