Chris Pronger says he's willing to discuss a contract extension with the Flyers that will keep him in Philadelphia beyond next season and help keep the organization a perennial Stanley Cup contender.
Pronger has had 2 down years (by his standard) in a row.. he should save the trash talk.
When those down years 'by his standards' are still better than a large portion of the league, he can probably talk a bit. I fucking hate the guy, but he will be alright

Cant stand him either.. admitted bias hate coming from me. Those +/- numbers are terrible tho.
Ugh... being conflicted sucks. One one hand, I hate Pronger. On the other hand, I love Philly and the guy can be a monster. On the third hand, I really hate Pronger. Conundrum...

Get over it......you will enjoy him as a flyer.
The rest of you haters, are obviously fans of other teams in the East. Good luck when he destroys your star players next season.
I'll definitely enjoy what he adds to the team. But I seriously doubt I'll ever like Pronger the player. It was a similar situation when the Flyers added Derian Hatcher - and I dislike Pronger a lot more than I disliked Hatcher.
When you get voted by the other players in the league as the dirtiest player in the league, something's wrong. I can't post a link to where I saw it, but I know it was mentioned during one of the broadcasts during the Red Wings/Ducks series during the '09 playoffs.

The dude is dirty, absolutely dirty, but hes never been called out as a cancer in the locker room. Every player in the league pulls dirty tricks during the season, the difference is how much pub they get for it.
And BTW that poll is a joke, he got 13% of the vote!!! Along with Ott. That's like a majority in an election in a 3rd world African country. 324 players voted, he got 13%, and that makes it a poll!?!?! LOL.

Lol, what can I tell ya? It's not the most scientific thing in the world, but at least helps me make my point. I dunno, I guess having seen a lot of his crap both during his time with the Blues and the Ducks since they play the Wings a lot, it just grates on ya. I just do not like him as a player and no matter how many times I've tried to give him a chance, he goes and does yet another dirty play that makes youtube like the ones on the link I posted.

I see what you are saying since you are a Red Wings fan. It can be tough, your team has a loooooooooong history with Pronger with the Blues, Oilers and Ducks. I am pretty sure the collective teams in West had a huge sigh of relief after the trade.
Sharks will prolly benefit the most along with the Canucks. Red Wings and the Hawks have way better teams, so the trade won't affect them that much.
