Forrest definitely put his hands up to say "I surrender".
But that being said, initial reports said he thought he broke his jaw and he couldn't hear out of one ear. Just because it wasn't broke doesn't mean he wasn't fearing the absolute worst and wanted to get medical attention immediately, especially for his loss of hearing.
I will judge Forrest on being destroyed in the ring, but him being fearful of losing his hearing and breaking his jaw is no reason to blast the guy for essentially tapping out.Comment

lol @ Forrest saying "i surrender."
He did it vs. Keith Jardine too. Jardine landed about 8 straight to Forrest's face that knocked him silly but Forrest kept putting his arms and even his leg up on instinct. He was out for sure, just not out cold.
There are dudes out there that just don't get knocked out cold no matter how many times you hit them and their instincts will still be alive. Forrest is that type of guy. He was flash KO'd by Silva but still had the instincts to just fling his arms up in the air because he probably knew he was going to get pummeled in about 2 more seconds..lucky for him the ref stopped it.
vid of Jardine smashing Griffin..fast forward toward the end.
Anyway, we can argue this to the death because there really is no way I can prove it and neither can any of you. But I've been in my fair share of fights and I've seen plenty of fights to realize that there are dudes out there that get knocked fucking silly and don't know where the fuck they are but they are still able to somewhat cover up without even knowing what is going on or what they are doing.Comment

It makes no difference either way. There's been guys who have tapped from punches, so if he did gesture that it was over it's the same thing as tapping. It happens and isn't a big deal either way.Comment
