Will
Still a very young team
Defending champions and finalist last two years.
The core of the team is still there.
Still have probably the best 1-2-3 in terms of centre's.
Won't
It is hard to repeat.
Our defence took a major hit. I still cry over the loss of Scuderi
Injuries seem to always hurt us.
All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.
Won't
- Lost a lot in free agency
- No stable goalie during reg. season, Playoff Ozzie FTMFW
Will
- Its Detroit
- Euro twins = Jizz
- Holland is in Charge
- Most consistent team in the league.
- Still tons of depth despite FA losses.
Second this, not much more to add,
Our young guys will naturally decide what's gonna happen with this season, if they step up and produce then we'll be right back where we were, but even one guy slaking and it'll show through the rest of the lineup..
I'm confident about the goalie situation though, Ozz is gonna be himself in the regular season, be consistent but let in real shitty goals that people will remember him by lol, and Howard will do fine, i wanna see McCullum though...
Because Gaborik is a top five player and will be fully fit for the playoffs.
Because King Henrik is Vezina and Conn Smythe worthy.
Because Dubinksy, Callahan and Staal make the step up in scoring that we need them to make.
Won't:
Because Gaborik will be injured.
Because Redden and Roszival are forever abhorrent.
Because Dubinsky, Callahan and Staal are good but not elite players.
Because Henrik will burn out if we lean on him too much.
-Got some much needed vet leadership in Pronger, who just happens to be one of the better defensemen in the game.
-Healthy Briere, Gagne(hopefully) and the first full season for Claude Giroux.
-Players like Richards, Carter, Hartnell, Coburn, Parent gaining experience and maturing as players.
Won't
-Goaltending still a major question and will make or break the Flyers season
-Not much physical presence on D outside of Pronger
-If Briere and Gagne can't stay healthy, the scoring depth drops significantly. Especially after losing players like Lupul and Knuble.
