    Two things....

Why doesnt Dana White pay his fighters like it, as Floyd said.

And does anyone have tentative numbers from last night.

Waaaay too soon for early estimates. I'll get them up the minute I get them from someone reliable.

As for the first question, boxing main eventers make more than UFC main eventers, but UFC mid carders make alot more than the boxing undercard guys, who don't get shit in comparison.

They are essentially splitting the same pie, but in boxing, the top dog gets the bigger slice.

you just look at a guys boxing, like I said, you call Sherk one of the best strikers in MMA, lol @ that
Because K-1 is a different animal and with a big time boxer I can assume that he's going to have good hands, footwork, and movement. I just can't make that same assumption for all top K-1 fighters. Not to mention great cardio as well, top boxers go through the most intense cardio training out of any sport in the world. That doesn't automatically make them the best striker, but yeah definitely I would say the potential is obviously there. If it was that cut and dry then you would have heard me talking up Ray Mercer by now.

Honestly though you're bringing up two completely different situations anyway. I don't care what Cro Cop has done in K-1 because I've seen him in MMA. So why should K-1 matter anymore when we're talking about what hes done in MMA? Why talk about what Jordan did with the Bulls when talking about his ability in baseball?

I've said that Sherk is one of the most technically sound strikers in MMA, which he is. The only thing holding him back from being a great striker is his short reach.

          Holy bias, Batman!

          You know nothing of K-1.

Cro Cop after losing to Dos Santos

“Maybe the ones who have said that I’m done are right. Obviously, I can’t break my mental block in the Octagon. Besides, I’ve been training like a spartan for 20 years now — my body is worn out. The years caught up to me, I’ve been worn out…. [Junior dos Santos] won that fight and would have won it by decision. Simply put, he is younger, more hungry, more aggressive. He wanted to win a lot more…. The mat was slippery like glass. I almost fell down trying to do the left high kick. But I’m not looking for an alibi. This was not the performance the public would pay for. I don’t feel the hunger anymore. I started playing it safe, I’m not ready to take risks. I would like to thank everybody that supported me and stood by me and everyone who helped me to prepare for this fight. I’ve been living a military life for 20 years now. Getting up at 6 a.m. and having physically challenging task up to 8 p.m. I want a normal life. I’m entering a cage and thinking about fishing in Privlaka. You can’t win that way. Maybe I should’ve quit after I won the open weight grand prix.”

If he would have quit after winning the Open Weight Gran Prix, his legacy would be so much different than it will be now.

I get sick pleasure watching Ken Shamrock "fight". With Cro Cop, not so much.

Yeah, he should have stopped after the GP.

                  This is true.

Watching the video of the Cro Cop fight just makes me sad.

No one would think less of the man because he decided to take his rod and go fishing. Dude is a legend.

Stopping after the GP would';ve been dumb cause Mirko was still at the top of his game at those times. He should've never came back to fight Al Turk and Dos Santos.. the book was already written before then, IMO. He could handle the losses to Gonzaga and Kongo, but he should'e used those as a wake up call, cause theres no way Mirko should be losing to talents like Kongo..

Cro Cop never a great striker anyway, just had good kicks, he would just throw kicks at people and they would fall down, from K-1 to MMA, if he had Sherk type of stand up skills he would still be good

Of course that's never what I said, but it is what it is. Why can't I be a Cro Cop fan and still be realistic at the same time.
