I hate to say it and I know people here already know this, but funny story from the other day

I was in another area for work, so this guy I used to know from another company is there, we start talking about work and stuff, we talk a little football than and he brings up MMA, I usually dont at work because no one knows shit anyway, but he said 'MMA' so there was hope, usually people say 'UFC' or 'Ultimate Fighting'

He was like 'Yeah, I get all the PPVs, watch it all the time' etc...

So I say 'You going to watch Fedor vs Rogers next month, its on CBS'

Than he says 'Fedor? Never heard of him'

For the sake of the sport as a whole (not that any of this will affect UFC), Fedor not only has to win, but has to look impressive doing it.

The "Fedor? Never heard of him" crowd, and the people who may have heard the name but know nothing else about him, will not be impressed with a guy who looks like your middle aged neighbor with the average body and balding head, unless he backs up the hype and beats the imposing looking large black man with the mohawk in impressive fashion.

Things working against Fedor:

-No charisma
-No english
-Boring promos, talking about God, working hard, and hanging out with his parents

I'm really hoping he dominates Rogers in a Zulu/Sylvia type way, and comes off this fight looking like the Russian Cyborg Killer Silent Assasin Guy that we all know he is.

The best 'promo' Fedor ever gave was back in his Pride days, I believe he said something like 'The person across from me in the ring is in the way of me feeding my family, he must be elimanated', thats what he needs to say now a days, but probably wont

Dana is already setting up his lines, at the end says he doesnt want to see Fedor get KO's by 'Buck' Rogers, and calls Fedor overrated

Brock is not overrated .... top HW in the world not named Fedor... he may be over-hyped but as far as straight up skills go he is not overrated. beating 2 top ten heavies back to back is impressive
