I dont know much of Meltzer's pro wrestling stuff, but he seems pretty good on MMA rumors and such, like others have said, you cant hit every rumor because they are rumors, they change

What you hear could be true that day, but could be different the next day, doesnt mean the rumor wasnt true

It's just the latest reason for the power players who dislike Punk to bury him. He's a heat magnet, for some of the dumbest shit ever.

-When he first arrived, before he even got there, he had heat because of his rep of being a good worker and a hot talent. HHH & HBK watched his first dark match, buried him, said he didnt know how to work, so he was he was sent to OVW for a year.

-He fucked a few Diva's, most notably Maria, so he got heat for that and had a push killed. Meanwhile, Batista has fucked every Diva and probably all of their sisters--some of which while he had a wife at home who had cancer (they later got divorced). Orton pours beer on Divas heads and shits in their bags like a 3 year old when they reject him--and the victimized Diva's get fired for it when they complain. Only "stars" are supposed to fuck the Diva's. Only in the WWE do you get heat for having a sex life.

Let me put it to you this way...

As good as he is at covering MMA, he's probably 1000X better at covering wrestling, only because he's been doing it for 30 years and has 30 years worth of sources and credibility behind him. It's funny when all of the bootleg intenet sites post "breaking news" a few hours after his newsletter gets posted every Wednesday.

The other thing, is you have a bunch of other very good MMA guys out there, but with wrestling, all you really have is Meltzer. Wade Keller (Pro Wrestling Torch) has been in business for about 20 years, but he does more of a tabloid style opinion journal, and lacks the sources.

Let's say Meltzer breaks 40-50% of the big MMA stories (I have no idea if that's true, but I bet it's close, especially when it comes to UFC since he's one of the only guy's Dana White talks to). You would think that's alot, but he probably breaks 99.8% of wrestling stories. There simply is no one else.

The funniest thing has to be the mental image of Undertaker in a suit. Seriously? Of all the people - and I love the Undertaker, he is hands down one of my all time favorites - Taker is going to tell him to dress professionally? Oooooooook.

so yea..Cena Does Everything for WWE, makes every appearence and signing w/o complaint, that's why he's in his position

Punk is a great talent, but he knows where he stands with management. if he said what Metzler sad he did; then Punk knew he was going to the doghouse as soon as he opened his mouth..

As W2B said if Meltzer tomorrow said I'm retiring, 100% of what you read on those shitty sites would be fake. His shit is top notch and he, next to Bill Apter, is the greatest wrestling journalist of all-time.

I respect Punk for standing up for what's right but yeah... in this business, especially this monopolized business, you have to kiss ass to get to the top.

I've never knocked Cena. He works hard, he's seemingly a good guy, and he deserves his spot. He's a shitty in ring performer, but that matters very little. He dosent annoy me at all.

The bottom line with this issue, is no matter what you think of Punk, the company is biting off its nose to spite it's face on this one.

I dig the fact that he dosen't conform to the locker room hypocricy, and i'm facinated to see how bad they attempt to bury the guy for the sake of this shit. I'm sure the news that he's banging Lita now didnt help his cause.
