I will enjoy watching Vancouver wreck teams this year.

So if the Canucks are so bad how come they are consistently a playoff team?

The Canucks are one of the top teams in the league. WTF are you talking about? Have you ever watched a NHL game?

And if the Hawks even claw near the playoffs, you can color me surprised.

Seriously, these fucking team homers all need to die. It's fine to love a team, but don't be as bad as leafs fans. That is their thing not yours.

Ripper, what are you going on about. Your amazing team finally won a cup after the longest streak of not winning in the NHL. Expansion teams have won before you did again. And now they are watered down with whomever would sign for under a million. Management of the team is terrible with signings. So enjoy your team this year with its one line and no depth. Good luck with Marty Turco. Didn't have enough money to resign a goalie for 2.75M.

There is a reason why LA didn't push for Kovy more. They learned from the Blackhawks mistakes. You know, signing Hossa to such a huge deal. Taking on Huet when you have a goalie ($11M tied up in two goalies), taking on Campbells $7M contract.
All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

                "rammer" and "cummings"

The NHL series is a giver, Madden takes the load.

Sorry, you can't pick and choose what management you want to blame for your troubles. Again I say, that is the leaf fans thing, not yours.

They are in the NHL for a reason and they're good enough to play on any team? With that logic, you would sign any person who would pull a jersey on over their head, or at least have help from a player beside them. Sorry, but your joe-blow NHLer is not going to make you a repeat champion. And having your cupboard stock of players as you think you do is not as well. Sure, you got Toews and Kane, and your defence, but again I say, Marty Turco...seriously bro?...Seriously...that guy.

And yes, they are so watered down to the point they won't be a contender. At least not in the sense of how I think, and how you seem to talk. Sorry to say, but being just a contender after being a cup champion is not enough. You'll be hunted after, and teams are going to want to beat you more. If Chicago even sniffs the third round of playoffs this year I'd be surprised. As I said before, homers annoy me because they can't see past their teams own mediocrity. You got your superstars, but what else. It was the bottom group that made it possible for the top group to shine. Are you going to sit here and tell me that when Kane and Toews go through a slump, you're confident in those "capable NHLer's" to pick up the slack?

In all, I still laugh at your ease to throw Dave Tallon under the bus. What did Bowman do? Not a fucking thing. Must be easy to walk into a team already built. Tallon is the one who signed all your "cupboard" players. Tallon is actually the cup GM in my opinion, and his name is appearing on the cup and he is getting a ring. Sure Bowman has to pick up the pieces after the puzzle fell on the floor, but he basically got to walk into the room, when the puzzle maker was in the bathroom, slap the final two pieces on the thing and take all the credit. But since the puzzle maker built it on a table with three legs, it fell when he wasn't around, and is taking all the blame.

The Flyers top goalie prospect, 22 year old Sergei Bobrovsky is going to get the start tonight....curious move, he looked good in the pre-season but he's getting thrown directly into the fire in a Flyers/Pens game.

According to most flyer fans he's the second coming of christ so lets see how right he is.

Yea I don't get how you can hype a player like that.......my only reasoning is that it's been such a looooooooong time since we have a clear cut starting goalie that the fans will jump on anyone now. I highly doubt a lot of these guys touting Bobrob(Can that be a legit nickname?) even remember Hextall or even Beezer playing eventhough we got Beezer after his best years.

I mean he was very good in the preseason...but that's only the preseason, we'll see what happens when he's going up against some of the league's top offensive players tonight.

Sitting here waiting for the game to come on while watching some cbc news. They goto do a report in front of the air canada center and all you see is a bunch of drunk leaf fans chanting god knows what and the reporter is just no where to be found.

                                I lol'd.
