This is also only the 3rd game since the new year started where a bruins player wasn't either going to be suspended or a hearing had the next day about some action in the game beforehand lol.

Hey Matt Cooke, about that 5 minute elbowing penalty you took which allowed us 2 powerplay goals to go from a loss to a win ... Thank you, enjoy your suspension and please remind your owner that he will be guilty of yet another incidence of stunning hypocrisy if he doesn't publicly call you out on it.

Even as a penguins fan, I await Mario's or anyone within the Penguins organization to call him out on it. And hope to god they take this useless fuck out of the line up and put him in the AHL, ala Sean Avery and make him earn some respect back into the game.

If he doesn't get atleast 10 games, there should be no more talk about repeat offenders, or any of that crap ever again. This is the poster boy of repeat offenders, and I think it should start at 10 games. Considering this is his 2nd or 3rd this season, I think remainder of the regular season is perfectly fine.
All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

        "rammer" and "cummings"

The NHL series is a giver, Madden takes the load.

They should just let Evander Kane handle him again.

Removing the instigator rule would probably fix a lot of these cheap shots.

              Just sayin.

How the hell does Cooke have an "A" on his sweater? You really want your players following this guy?

This is pretty much what makes lemieux and the pens look like a joke.

I still don't get who thought it was a good idea to give him an A.

I really don't understand the 'A' either, as I look up and down that line up and I see a bunch of captains on that team.

Now granted Malkin is normally an A and Crosby C and Staal A, so with those three in and out, and Staal "temp-captain" you have them needing to fill the list. So Orpik get's an A and Cooke???

Seriously, Letang should have an A over Cooke.
Chris Kunitz should have the A over Cooke
Talbot should have the A over Cooke.

What scares me as a Pens fan is that someone else is going to get hurt because of what this idiot did. Some team is going to be pissed, and someone like a Talbot or Letang or Crosby when he comes back is going to take the blunt of the rage.

And I'll just say this about hockey players in general. If this was any other sport, I really do believe the player who got hit would cry to the media and make it into some huge thing. What does McDonagh say about it?

"I would hope it wasn't his intent. It's a tight game and I'm sure he's not trying to give his team a five-minute penalty. He's probably just trying to finish his check. He just caught me wrong."

                    NHLer's....Always a class act.

I'm starting to wonder if a case couldn't be made for P.K. Subban to be rookie of the year.
22 minutes a game for a rookie defenceman is impressive, and while a lot of opponents hate him, they don't deny his ability.
In a year where no rookie stands out, I think Subban does.

Of course I'm a Montreal fan, so I'm obviously biased.

I think Skinner gets it as he has done more for his team I think.

Couture by a landslide. The guy has been picking up the slack for their struggling top line all season.
