I can now confirm Bergfors, Oduya, a 1st round pick, and Mattias Tedenby are headed to the Thrashers for Kovalchuk.

Bergfors is good. Oduya is nothing were going to miss, 1st rounder and a prospect. I'll take it for kovo as long as they get him under contract which I feel they will get done.

Basically the deal has 3 first rounders... Bergfors, Tedenby and the 1st round pick (which is going to be a late pick). They are obviously going for the playoffs in high stride now.

I dunno if they will sign him though. New Jersey from what I hear sucks to play in since its so quiet but Lou there can swing a good deal.

Deal sucks for the Thrashers, especially as they are trying to actually make the playoffs..

A quiet hockey town suits Kovalchuk nicely. But I expect he will test free agency because the Devils will surely not give him what he is asking for.
