I doubt Boston are going to trade for a super old, over the hill player just to get themselves a playoff berth.

Florida trades Jordan Leopold to Pittsburgh for a 2nd round pick in 2010, pending trade call with NHL.

BTW this trade puts the pens at having to many defensemen. Someone else will get traded.

I'm pretty sure this trade deadline will be boring for us Flyers fans, maybe a minor move but with next to no cap space and no high picks for the next few years I doubt much will happen.

it's gonna be boring for most fans.

you typically see 0-3 big deals at the deadline, well we've pretty much had those deals already happen.

a top 5 player was dealt.
a top pair dman was dealt.
a top line forward was dealt.

shouldn't be too major going forward, lots of 2nd/3rd line talent will probably be the bulk, if not all of what's to come.

Hawks/Blues Trade:

The St. Louis Blues have added goaltender Joe Fallon from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for goaltender Hannu Toivonen and defenceman Danny Richmond.

Just got home from work and now working on sorting through all this BS.

A trade just came through though. Grebeshkov has been traded from Oilers to Predators for 2nd round pick.

Apparantly the bruins have made a deal but something is holding it up.

Islanders have traded Greg Moore to Columbus in exchange for defenseman Dylan Reese

Sure they would. He's only going to be a rental anyways.

Pretty much the big trade right now is Ottawa getting Andy Sutton from the Islanders for a second round pick that was the Sharks.

Quite a steal consider that pick is going to be a player in the 55-60 range if the sharks don't tank it in the first round again.

Sutton is most likely a rental btw as they charge for the playoffs. They have a prospect by the name of Cowen who they want to play next season.
