The Atlanta Thrashers have come to terms with restricted free agent goaltender Ondrej Pavelec on a two-year contract worth $2.3 million. The 22-year-old played in 42 games last season, emerging with a 14-18-7 record, including two shutouts.

He is kind of a hot and cold goalie. When he's good, he is REALLY good, but when he's bad it seems like he can't stop a beach ball. Doesn't help that he plays on Atlanta. I remember the game against Ottawa he stopped 51 shots, and about a quarter of them were ridiculously good scoring chances.
